水脱色剤はジシアンジアミドホルムアルデヒド樹脂であり、染料廃水の脱色性が高く、多数のカチオンを付与することにより、不安定な染料分子にマイナス電荷をもたらし、同時に水性脱色剤ではフロックを大量に加水分解することにより中和されます。染料が吸着され、スネアが不安定になり、水が分離され、漂白の目的を達成することができます。
