硫酸アルミニウムは、培地に懸濁している可能性のある溶存有機炭素のような微粒子を除去するために、水処理の凝集剤として使用されます。凝固後、ミョウバンは凝集剤として機能し、粒子が一緒に固執して大きな粒子を形成し、懸濁液から落ちて沈降タンクの底に沈殿します。きれいな水は秋を介して上から取られ、最終的に植物の消毒段階に移動します。
硫酸アルミニウムは、飲料水または工業プロセス水のいずれかの供給における原水の処理に使用され、廃水処理プラントでの廃水処理やスラッジ処理にも使用されます。
